Question: Why does ActivePresentation Designer use Microsoft technology instead of any other publishing platform or software?

Answer: The answer is simple. Because the majority of sales & marketing organisations utilise Microsoft Office systems, we believe this audience is best served with content that is widely compatible with the investment already made by IT departments. By using an ActivePresentation, you are not locked to any single supplier for creative, sales lead generating content as you can change the content whenever you want.

Question: Can I add slides to an existing ActivePresentation file?

Answer: Yes you can. There are multiple ways of achieving this depending on your needs. For one off ad hoc slide insertion, a separate PowerPoint file can be inserted as an object icon and when you click the icon on the icon, the slides you embedded are shown. For more permanent additions, you can insert slides in to the structure of your ActivePresentation and an integrated help system is provided in the software to show you how to do this.

Question: What file format does ActivePresentation Designer create?

Answer: Because ActivePresentation Designer is fully integrated in to Microsoft PowerPoint, it supports/creats files in the formats supported by PowerPoint such as .ppt and .pps for PowerPoint 2003 and .pptx, .ppts, .pptm for PowerPoint 2007 and later. For PowerPoint 2007 and later, when certain active features are enabled in ActivePresentation Designer, the file format needs to be changed from the default .pptx to a macro enabled file format such as .pptm.

Question: Can I embed flash object in to ActivePresentation content?

Answer: Yes you can. There are several YouTube videos showing you how to do this but it is important to note that embedding Flash objects (so that you can send a single PowerPoint file with the embedded content) are not compatible with the XML file format of PowerPoint 2007 and Microsoft is aware of this issue..
