Humans have a habit of requiring information and asking questions ‘out-of-sequence’.
That’s not the way PowerPoint encourages us to present. So why do we allow a tool to take control and lead us to say anti-customer centric things like ‘I’ll get to that later’ when asked a question? Wouldn’t it be better in many case to answer the question then and there while the topic is fresh in everyone’s mind? Of course it would, especially if the influencing person who asked it isn’t going to stick around for the Q&A part of your presentation!
But getting to the slide you want, quickly, is the moment where you fall in to a panic induced zombie state. Page Up, Page Down… where is it? HELP!
The solution is to create a non-linear presentation. One that allows you to navigate from one slide to another, in and out of sequence, when you and your audience want. On-slide navigation is your key to being customer focussed, stress free and looking professional by anticipating your audience.
